With Ferdinand Habsburg on the podium

In the fourth race of the German Electric Kart Championship in Kerpen, Jasin Ferati worked his way up to third place in the overall standings thanks to second place in the final and the fastest race lap.

A week before the end of the Kart EM in Le Mans, Jasin Ferati achieved the most valuable international result so far at the second appearance in the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM). The man from Winterthur, who will be 16 in two weeks, finished second in the fourth of ten races behind the German Lukas Wlömer, who was the clear leader in the championship, and thus improved from fifth to third place in the overall standings. In third place, guest driver Ferdinand Habsburg made it onto the podium at the Erftlandring.

“To be at the top with a DTM works driver and to be celebrated is something very special. I was very happy, but I'm also a bit disappointed, because more could have been done," admitted Ferati after the award ceremony. “After winning the pre-final I was able to start the 8-lap final on pole position and of course I wanted to defend it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use my full power at the start and I lost three positions as a result. It was still enough to get on the podium. I have to catch up on my first final win at the beginning of August on my favorite track in Genk.”
